Hey Forum Friends,
Happy Belated Birthday to Phil, anyways, Im really into that synth bell sound Brent has in some 83 scarlet>fires, or the crazy key sounds similar to the scorching 6/6 china>rider, I know its vinny, oh well, those simple additions just add a whole different element/refreshing change, and was wondering if I could be led in the direction of some good examples of this, minus DP 6 or official releases, thanks

MR

My favorite "synthetic bell sound" show will always be the extraordinary performance on Haight Street in '68.

Absolutely the most creative use of a fire alarm in the history of modern music...

1984 was the year of the bell. I suggest 4-13-84, Birdsong is an excellent example.

Here's what Cliff has to say about this high energy show, but pay no attention to him:

Also the Albany show 1990 that makes up a lot of the Dozin' at the Knick CD has a ton of bells. Really works too. That great Loser that everyone mentions gets the bell treatment and is outstanding
